General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal organs such as the intestines, oesophagus, stomach, colon, liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts, skin and soft tissue, and endocrine organs.

Many of the General Surgery treatments are done with laparoscopic (or keyhole) surgery, where Dr Krishna uses a viewing telescope (laparoscope) to look at the organs inside the abdomen. Compared to open surgery, laparoscopic surgery offers many benefits which include small skin incisions, better cosmetic scars, less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stay (often day-surgery only), faster recovery and earlier return to normal activities and employment.
